Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

EarnIt (“the App”) is operated by Lior Shliechkorn (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. What data we collect

Data you provide

• Parent setup: a 4-digit Parent PIN (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — the original PIN is never stored).
• Child profiles: first name, an emoji avatar, a color preference, and a 4-digit child PIN (also bcrypt-hashed).
• Chore data: chore names, descriptions, and completion status within your family.
• Messages: short encouragement notes sent from a parent to a child within the app.

Data we do not collect

• Email addresses, phone numbers, or payment card details (purchases go through Apple or Google).
• Device-level screen time data. The App does not integrate with iOS Screen Time or Android Digital Wellbeing APIs.
• Precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone data.
• Advertising identifiers. We do not show ads and we do not track users across other companies' apps or websites.

3. How we use your data

All data is used solely to operate the App:

• Family chore tracking and approvals.
• Parent–child messaging within your family group.
• Streak and level progress for each child.
• Restoring an optional Parent Tools purchase to the correct family.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted in the United States. Firebase is operated by Google LLC under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Purchase status for optional Parent Tools is processed by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, which records whether a family has unlocked Parent Tools. We cannot see your full payment details.

All PIN data is bcrypt-hashed before it is written. We cannot recover original PINs.

5. Children's privacy

EarnIt is designed for parents who set up and supervise family accounts. Child profiles are created by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without parental oversight, contact us at lior.shliechkorn@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data deletion

To delete all your family data, email lior.shliechkorn@gmail.com with your Family Code. We will delete associated records from Firebase within 30 days.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
